**If the button above does not automatically generate an email to Dr. Julia, you can email her directly at julia@singerspace.com to secure your spot in the private lessons scheduling queue.
Take your Summer Conservatory experience to the next level with a private online lesson with Dr. Julia!
This optional add-on gives you the opportunity to work one-on-one with Dr. Julia Nielsen in a 40-minute private Zoom session focused specifically on your breath support coordination. These sessions are available exclusively to registered 2026 Co-Vo Summer Conservatory participants and are limited to the first 20 singers who request a lesson.
What’s included:
A 40-minute private lesson via Zoom
One-on-one feedback tailored to your vocal habits and goals
Targeted work on breath coordination exercises
Coaching on your “laboratory piece” of repertoire
A recording of the session available for you to download and keep
How it works:
Private sessions will take place at the midpoint of the Conservatory, on the following dates:
Wednesday, July 29 (3:00–6:00pm PT)
Thursday, July 30 (10:00am–3:30pm PT)
Saturday, August 1 (10:00am–1:00pm PT)
Sunday, August 2 (3:00–6:00pm PT)
Saturday, August 8 (2:00–4:15pm PT)
Once your request is received, you’ll be emailed a list of available times. Appointments will be scheduled in the order that requests are received.
If we’re unable to find a mutually convenient time during these dates, alternate times may be possible depending on Dr. Julia’s schedule, but are not guaranteed.
Cost and Payment:
The fee for this session is $110, payable via Venmo or PayPal.
Payment is due at the time of booking to reserve your spot.
What to prepare:
Bring your questions about breath support and be ready to apply what you’ve learned in the Summer Conservatory. We’ll spend part of the session working on familiar exercises to refine your coordination, but will also work on the selected piece of repertoire that you’ve been working on over the summer.
Technical Requirements:
Your lesson will take place on Zoom, and we’ll need to activate Zoom’s “Original Sound for Musicians” setting before you sing. Without this setting enabled, Zoom may mistakenly filter out your singing as background noise.
This setting is available on laptops and desktops (I’ll guide you through it if needed).
It is not available on mobile devices (phones, tablets) unless previously enabled on a computer.
Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy:
Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time will be fully refunded.
Late cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson are subject to the full lesson fee, except in cases of emergency.
